How to Make a Stencil from a Photo: Full Video Guide
Follow the Undertaker example from image to print. Choose your layers, bridge the loose pieces, explore sizes and formats, then download and print your stencil.

Follow these steps
- Open the beta designer and upload your photo, or choose the Undertaker sample to follow this example. Sign in when you are ready to save or download.
- Compare Bold, three-layer and six-layer previews. Choose three layers, then select Use this style. More than three layers need Pro when you export.
- Open each layer to adjust detail. Click its thumbnail to change the paint colour, or use the eye button to see what that layer adds.
- Switch to Cut sheet and select Fix beside a layer with loose pieces. Hover over Bridge, Fill or New layer to preview a repair, then click to apply it. Repeat for every layer.
- Use Bridge to draw a connection by hand if needed. Set its width in millimetres, inspect the cutting sheet and use Undo to remove changes you do not want.
- Select Review & export. Choose your paper and artwork size. Try Single sheet, a 60 cm poster or a 1 m wall and inspect Page layout for tiled output.
- Choose PDF for printing, PNG for an image, SVG or Cricut for a compatible cutter, or DXF for laser and CNC software. Keep alignment marks on. Pro includes tiled and vector exports.
- Download the PDF and inspect all layers. In the print dialog, choose the matching paper size, Actual size or 100 percent, and single-sided printing. Keep the bridges intact when cutting.
