How to use a snowflake stencil

  1. Download the PDF and print it at the size you want. A4 makes a snowflake about 18cm across.
  2. Print on card for a reusable stencil. Paper is fine for one window.
  3. Cut out the black snowflake with a craft knife. Start with the small branches in the middle and work outwards.
  4. Tape the sheet to a clean window and spray snow spray in light passes from about 30cm.
  5. Peel the sheet away while the snow is still soft, then move it along and go again.

Questions

Are these snowflake templates free?

Yes. No signup, no email. Download the PDF to print or the SVG for a cutting machine, and use them on anything, including things you sell.

Can I use these as paper snowflake templates?

Yes. Print one, cut the snowflake out of the paper and you have a flat paper snowflake for windows, cards or garlands. No folding needed, and every one is the same.

Will they work on a Cricut?

Yes. Upload the SVG to Cricut Design Space, size it and cut. They are clean single shapes, so they cut fast from vinyl, card or mylar.

Which snowflake is easiest to cut by hand?

The chunky ones with fewer, thicker branches. Leave the fine ones for a sharp knife and a steady afternoon, or a cutting machine.
